Over the last year, BlueGreen Alliance has partnered with NSC and the PERI Institute at the University of Massachusetts to release groundbreaking research that quantifies the potential impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and CHIPS and Science Act on the nation’s labor demand and supply. As a result of the research, environmental and skills advocates across the country are leveraging the data to organize and advocate for policies and investments that invest in inclusive education and training programs, diversify the infrastructure and clean energy workforce, and elevate job quality and enhance worker protections. BlueGreen Alliance has also been instrumental in expanding the reach of the research through strategic communications, drawing attention to labor needs associated with federal infrastructure laws and the skills training policies required to meet these needs and expand access and opportunity for all of America’s workers.
